TS Motorsports, the championship-winning factory racing team of Wentzville, MO-based high-performance boat builder Marine Technology Inc., recently conducted a series of comprehensive test sessions to dial-in its new 390XR catamaran race boat slated for competition in the 450R Factory Stock class. The team has logged over 20 hours of testing in the last two months, both in Missouri and most recently in Central Florida at Mercury Racing’s storied Lake X facility.
At Lake X, TS Motorsports driver Taylor Scism and throttleman John Tomlinson completed more than 25 laps in a program focused on boat setup and performance. This is the team’s third MTI 390XR purpose-built for the 450R Factory Stock class. The homologated hull is built in the same mold as the company’s 390X production boat for the consumer pleasure boat market.

We also know what the benchmark is as it relates to our competition as we had four challengers at the end of last season. We’re aiming to get even more testing done ahead of the first race in Marathon, but we know we will utilize the Saturday of race weekend to extract any additional learnings we can.
