World Champion Team M CON / Monster Energy just released their new look and full 2023 schedules for their two offshore race boats. The dynamic duo of throttleman Tyler Miller and driver Myrick Coil will occupy both cockpits.
The Class 1 / UIM competitor will have an all black livery emblazoned with the two familiar logos, as well as the ever-present “Jamie” with the breast cancer pink ribbon—a loving tribute to Jamie Smith, team owner/throttleman Tyler Miller’s sister, who lost her battle with the disease in 2020. The boat will campaign the number “06” and is a 438 Skater powered by twin Mercury Racing 1100 Competition engines and will compete in four of the six scheduled Class 1 races.
The Supercat Class 388 Skater race boat will sport a design that combines the previous red and white M CON race boat (also with the pink “Jamie” ribbon) from the stern, transforming into the black Monster Energy with the hard-earned “US-1.” The boat will return again with twin Sterling Performance 750hp engines and will compete in eight total races with the Race World Offshore, OPA and P1 Offshore organizations.
Team driver Myrick Coil will have his hands full, racing both M CON boats, as well as returning as driver for the Performance Boat Center / FASS Fuel Systems Super Stock competitor, with fellow PBC teammate Rusty Williams.
“It will be a busy season with a lot of competition. We will have a learning curve on the new boat,” Coil told Speedboat.
