Two of the marine industry’s leading brands are extending their established partnership this year across the APBA offshore racing season. Powerboat P1 and MYCO Trailers have jointly announced that a new agreement sees MYCO continue as an official partner of the international marine motorsport promoter.
Headquartered in Bradenton on Florida’s Gulf Coast and known throughout the high-performance powerboat world, MYCO Trailers is the world leader in custom, all-welded boat trailers. Its mechanical engineers design each trailer around the boat to produce the most precise fitting and best towing trailers in the industry. With the tag line “pull it in style,” MYCO was the first company in Florida to weld an aluminum marine trailer, the first to design a ‘self-centering’ trailer bunk system and the first to use stainless steel brake lines. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, MYCO has earned the reputation of being the premium brand of choice for performance, center console, cat and step hull designed boats, as well as the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and U.S. Navy.
“MYCO Trailers has been the leading supplier of trailers to the powerboat racing market for 50 years, and we are excited to continue our support of Powerboat P1,” said Denis McComb, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “Our unique, engineered trailer design ensures a smooth ride and easy tow, and racers feel confident with MYCO getting them from race to race. Plus, we use the race teams feedback to constantly change our products to ensure that every trailer we build is the best on the road.”
MYCO recently announced a new partnership with Arizona-headquartered Adrenaline Trailers, the industry leader in custom fabrication and trailer accent lighting. In addition to sales, Adrenaline will provide service and technical support for all MYCO Trailers products in California, New Mexico, Nevada and Arizona.
Powerboat P1 CEO, Azam Rangoonwala commented: “Strategic partnerships are an integral part of our business and this is a very natural relationship that delivers tangible results for both parties. The partnership gives MYCO exposure through our national and international television broadcasts, which domestically include Bally Sports regional sports networks and CBS Sports Network, our websites and social media activity, event branding, public relations and marketing.”
The P1 race season will kick off in Cocoa Beach on the Space Coast in May and then visit venues in Missouri, Wisconsin and Florida’s Gulf Coast. P1 will partner with Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Offshore at the end of May before heading to Lake Michigan in August for the Sheboygan Midwest Challenge. The Sarasota and St. Petersburg grand prix events move away from their traditional dates around the Independence Day and Labor Day vacations respectively and will provide an exhilarating climax to the season in September and October.
