It definitely lived up to its pre-show billing as the largest boat show in Arizona and Nevada. The just concluded 23rd Annual Lake Havasu Boat Show, conducted by the Lake Havasu Marine Association and sponsored by Teague Custom Marine and Prolong Super Lubricants, set a multitude of individual records for overall attendance, number of exhibitors, display space and high performance boat brand participation.

“The Lake Havasu Boat Show has become the biggest high performance boat show west of Miami,” commented boat show organizer, Bob Brown. “This year we had no less than 19 different high performance boat brands represented (Advantage, Caliber 1, Cheetah, Connolly, Conquest, DCB, Domn8er, Hallett, Howard, Interceptor, MTI, Nordic, Outerlimits, Schiada, Shockwave, Skater, Twister Liquid Marine, Ultra, and V-2 Jet Boat).”  We also had more than a dozen national brands of pontoon boats plus wakesport boats, fishing boats, family runabouts, jet boats, deckboats, electric boats, cruisers and personal watercraft.  There was something there for every price range from $5,000 to a half million, and every style of boating.”

During the three-day boat show, just under 10,000 people went through the gates including paid show attendees, exhibitors and special event participants. “Given feedback from show visitors, they not only come to see the boats, but they also like the diversity of the special attractions which included the first-ever appearance of the “Miss Geico” world champion offshore race boat in the Southwest, an ICS sanctioned chili cook-off, a Legends by the Lake Car Show and NWSRA water ski races,” remarked Brown. “It’s a full day or more of family entertainment for just a nominal three dollar admission charge and free parking.”
