Now celebrating its 15th year, the Hartwell Lake Charity Run will be held June 6-8 at the Legendary Green Pond Landing in Anderson, SC. The run benefits Meals on Wheels-Anderson.

The weekend’s activities begin with Thursday night’s ticketed event, Social on the Green, presented by Crowe’s Corporate Promotions and First Bank featuring live music by Talbert Black, catered food by Sullivan’s Metropolitan Grill and boats on display for event attendees to come and see. Limited tickets are available on site.

“I can’t believe it has been 15 years of the Charity Run,” says Laurie Ashley, executive director of Meals on Wheels-Anderson. “It is truly amazing to think of how the event has grown and changed to become the exciting weekend on the water it is today.”

The Friday night Street Party will feature live music from The Vinyl Junkies, catered dinner by Creekside Barbecue, and local vendors. Additionally, there will be a live auction benefiting Meals on Wheels-Anderson. Saturday’s schedule of events begin with the 11 a.m. Boat Blast-Off that the community is welcome to come out and watch. There will be food, full cash bar, vendors and music going strong at Green Pond Landing all throughout the day. Parking each day will be $10 at the gate.

The final event for the weekend is the Hartwell Lake Charity Run After Party. All participating boaters and the community are welcome to hang out for dinner catered by Renee B. Hall, drinks, live music from the Tailgate Homeboys and a sunset send off to the 2024 Hartwell Lake Charity Run. The After Party is a ticketed event and we will have a limited number available for purchase on site.

“We really have a little bit of everything for everyone to come out and enjoy over the entire weekend,” says Haley Daniel, special events coordinator for Meals on Wheels-Anderson. “While this is a boating centric event, we have plenty of good food, entertainment and activities for the community at large to come and enjoy at Anderson County’s Green Pond Landing.”

Green Pond Landing will be closed for public use throughout the Charity Run weekend, staring Thursday, June 6th. The community is more than welcome to come out and enjoy the festivities. Parking will be $10 per day Friday and Saturday.
