DCB Performance Marine of Phoenix, AZ, has just delivered a new M37R to longtime customers Greg and Samantha Timmons of Long Beach, CA. It's their third DCB build in past six and a half years, following an M28R powered by Mercury Racing 400Rs, then an M33R with 450Rs. The new M37R features the new Mercury Racing 500Rs, spinning Mercury Racing five-blade CNC cleavers.
The boat, which sports a 10'6" beam, has been equipped with a billet foot shower at the front, as well as a second billet sand shower with retractable nozzle on the rear swim step. It's also got two 85-gallon fuel tanks, with single side fill (both fuel fills on the port side for ease of filling at gas station/fuel docks). Ken Lalonde's 5-Star Tool Company of Rochester, NY, supplied the billet CNC’d offshore brackets.
The interior of the M37R features a combination of 50% Alcantara and 50% CoolTouch fabrics with CNC stitching, along with a custom three-color SeaDek entry kit, custom four-color plush carpet kit and custom Isotta Fanete steering wheel (black Alcantara with blue stitching). On the outside, the boat has a Phase III gelcoat scheme with rubrail custom painted to match the graphics.
DCB's estimated top speed in optimum conditions is 125+ mph. Retail price with all upgrades and options was around $765K.
Timmons tells Speedboat that he was stoked by the boat's performance when he first drove it. "I was really impressed with the way it got on plane," he says. "There was no bowrise at all, nor any cavitation. It's just nice and flat, smooth. Then, bringing it up to speed on the lake, it felt like it was on rails—it was very stable, very secure, all the way up to top speed."
What keeps Timmons coming back to DCB? "It's the attention to detail," he says. "These boats, in my opinion, are the most beautiful. The quality of the upholstery, the gelcoat, right down to the wiring—if you get down under the dash and look at it, it's just impeccable. It's the quality and the ride. And the team is just a great group of guys."
In 2024, he plans to bring the boat to Desert Storm in Lake Havasu, the Lake Powell Challenge, the Lake of the Ozarks Poker Run & Shootout, and of course, the DCB Regatta.
