Englewood Beach Waterfest is back, and this year’s event promises to be one for the record books.
The Englewood Beach Waterfest (EBW) Board of Directors has officially announced that North Myrtle Beach (NMB) RV Resort and Dry Dock Marina will be the 2021 Keystone Sponsor of the event scheduled for Nov. 18-21, 2021, in Englewood, FL. “We can’t begin to describe the amount of energy and enthusiasm we are experiencing here in Englewood, with the announcement of our partnership with the owners and team at NMB,” said Ray LaBadie, 1st Vice President of the EBW Board of Directors.
“Our entire organization has been working hard to build on the momentum we experienced from the record-breaking event in 2019, and we know this year is going to be epic! With all the support from our board, volunteers, and the local and expanded community, we are seeing levels of excitement, and engagement that are momentous,” added Steve Gardiner, President of the EBW Board of Directors.
The Englewood event is the final race of the APBA Offshore National Series, presented by Powerboat P1 and OPA.
Waterfest’s network of volunteers has expanded over the last few years to include hundreds of dedicated individuals, who tirelessly donate thousands of hours to organize and plan the multiple community activities that are associated with the Top 20 Southeast Tourism Society (STS) event every year. The week culminates with the keystone feature, the OPA World Championship Powerboat Race, with record numbers of boat teams and event attendees expected at this year’s race.

The EBW Board and team of volunteers have successfully executed a poker run event in March of this year, with another pirate-themed run scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18. With all the scheduled events, the organization is anticipating another record-setting Waterfest event this November.
